2013 Festivals: Glastonbury Line-Up [News]

We missed Glastonbury last year. The festival had to take a year out but in 2013 it's back bigger than ever. Although you won't find a lot of Grime acts at the festival, I'm going to highlight a few names you should venture to watch. Wiley's there after all...

The legendary festival known as Glastonbury has been around for donkey's years. Many names have graced the Pyramid stage and this year we'll see Dizzee Rascal do so again. Alongside East London's finest there's a few other names you may want to check out. Hackney's Professor Green also takes to the Pyramid stage, as does Rita Ora. Since signing to Roc Nation the twenty-two year old singer has shot up the ranks in the music world.

Other artists who've worked closely with the Grime scene at Glastonbury include the dynamic duo of Chase & Status on the Other stage. Very creative name. London born, but Irish raised Maverick Sabre features on the West Holts stage.

The Silver Hayes stage is where you'd catch me most of the time if I was going. Names include Disclosure (who've had two amazing hit singles recently), Rudimental, Skream & Benga, Sub Focus, SBTRKT, Netsky, The 2 Bears, Julio Bashmore and of course our favourite and the reason we love Grime, Wiley. Will's started showing up to booking since the success of Heatwave, so let's hope he doesn't let us down this Summer and not show up to Glasto. Hopefully he'll bring a couple names along with him. Hearing Skillzone at the festival would be something you won't forget easily.

Wrapping up the festival guide I'll finish with the infamous Youngsta. For those who don't know, Youngsta worked very closely with Dizzee Rascal during his early days in Grime. Catch him on the Block9 stage.
