Don't sleep on producer Sir Hiss and his forthcoming EP 'Saracen'

2017 has undoubtedly been a breakthrough year for Bristol based producer Jeff Emmott, better known as Sir Hiss. With tunes like 'Blood Diamond' and 'Danny Uzi Vert' (the dub that left people begging for a track ID at Outlook 2017) causing quite a stir in the grime scene, the young producer has cemented himself as one to look out for in the new year. However, Sir Hiss hasn't kept us waiting till then, with his first official EP set to come out on Italdred tomorrow.

The result is a collection of songs representing Hiss' evolving style and impressive sampling, as he takes us far away from the UK with sounds from the Middle East and North Africa. The influence of his Bristol counterparts, such as Bandulu boss Kahn, can be heard on tracks such as 'Istanbul Mini Market' but the final product is something truly unique and unashamedly different to most of the grime currently circulating DJ's arsenals. The EP is topped off with remixes from Drone and Gundam, both taking full advantage of the wicked eerie vocal samples Sir Hiss has provided, to put their own spin on the tracks.

Stream the full EP below and be sure to cop it when it gets its full release tomorrow.
