Invader Spade and Aubrey Trnql collaborate on the 'No Clue' EP

Invader Spade's has a pretty melodic catalogue and his jumpy, springy riddims have been getting edged back in sets for a hot minute now. His release on Pearly Whites earlier this year showcased a jangly track with YGG's Lyrical Strally, but his current collaborations with Aubrey Trnql say it all. Their new EP on Pear Drops, entitled 'No Clue', is soulful, vibey and mad tranquil.

The first two tracks certainly follow this theme: the reverbed vocals, signature 'Wifey' melodies, and the spacey, abstract soundscape add a layer of thickness to the sparser elements of production. The EP's latter half takes a more dubsteppy route with some suitable wumps contrasted by the shimmers dotted about tracks like 'Lovers Intermission', but the snares really assert themselves as the driving force when they're paired with the careful dissonant guitar samples in 'Thirst'the closer.
