Over at OUAG, we've been huge fans of Dream Eater as a label since their inception, consistently putting out great vinyl releases (and more recently one digital giveaway), packed with some of the best names in instrumental grime and with a level of quality high enough to singlehandedly keep grime on wax alive. However, this might just be our favourite body of work yet.
Side A kicks off with none other than Maniac, making his debut on the label with one of his typically skippy beats and a sample paying homage to his postcode, that might remind us of his track "Bow E3", that brought him such notoriety as 16 year old back in 2007. He's followed by Filthy Gears, who manages to produce yet another powerful banger that's due to bring reload after reload; as well as Kotei with an eerie, warped number packing all sorts of menace.
The first two tracks on side B showcase a more melodic side of the label, with JT The Goon's atmospheric "Stacks", and one-to-watch B:Thorough making his vinyl debut with the appropriately-named "Flutter". Rounding off the record is JFO with a customarily gritty dubstep tune, ready to rip through your chest. You can stream previews of all the tracks below, but make sure you cop the full release from the Dream Eater website here.
