Ealing producer Priceless has been known to dabble in a myriad of genres including UK funky and 2-step garage, but make no mistake, he's fast becoming an integral beat-maker in the grime scene. With songs alongside Lyrical Strally, Darkos Strife and Cadell among others already under his belt, he's always had a keen eye for emerging MCs, and North West London barrer Logan is the latest addition to this list. Today, we're pleased to bring you the exclusive premiere of their new collaboration, "Dem Nah Bad", taken from Priceless's forthcoming BUILD_004 EP.
The track finds Logan taunting his rivals in his signature rugged, patois-tinged tone, accompanied by a matrix of percussive clicks and gritty basslines which hark back to the early oeuvre of seminal grime producers Prince Rapid and Scholar. There's a distinctive half-time twist on their blueprint, however: the instrumental is propelled forward almost entirely by claps instead of kicks and snares, making it one of the most unique tracks to come out of the scene this year.
