Premiere: Prizma recruits Killa P, MUHLA, Grim Sickers & Kozzie for seismic white label

Prizma boasts a diverse back catalogue spanning bassline and garage among other genres, but his forthcoming vinyl-exclusive release on American label Low Tide is a decidedly 140BPM affair. Melding elements of both dubstep and grime, the Carlisle-born, Bristol-based producer teams up with heavyweight MCs Killa P, Grim Sickers, and Kozzie, as well as fellow Bristolian beat-maker MUHLA, for the colossal LTX001 white label – limited to just thirty copies in existence. Today, we've got an early Christmas present for our readers. You can stream both songs below, exclusively via Once Upon A Grime, before heading over to the Low Tide website to pre-order your copy.

Teaming up with Brixton badman and past collaborator Killa P on A-side "Still Here", Prizma scatters flourishes of plucked, eastern-sounding strings over stuttering hi-hats, choral bursts, and a dark and brooding bassline. Lyrically, the song celebrates Killa's longevity – even when the odds may seem stacked against him. Naturally, the Stockwell lyricist supplies plenty of tongue-in-cheek taunts levelled at his adversaries: "Killaman's front door? Me tell dem try knock / Cuh your brain woulda travel like a tripod". The vinyl's B-side, "6 Points", was co-produced by Prizma and fellow Too Much Collective resident MUHLA, and features vocals from Swindon star Grim Sickers and lesser-spotted Lewisham MC Kozzie – who returns here for his first new track in over two years. He even addresses his hiatus in a bar: "Where you been? Where you been? / I've been flying around like Aladdin." The track sees the two spitters deliver their signature flows over haunting vocal cuts, suspenseful strings, and a bass so deep and guttural it's guaranteed to tear up sound systems in the imminent future.
