K9 has had a prolific month. The instantly recognisable West London MC has teamed up with Silencer for "Top Dog" and Silk Road Assassins for "Taste of Metal" in the past few weeks – with plenty more in the pipelines, including an impending mixtape and a guest verse for Hitman's all-star "Jack in a Box" remix. Today, we can exclusively share yet another new offering from the W9 barrer: the half-time gem "9", produced by Wes Allen.
The track picks up where the two artists' self-titled collaborative EP, released last April, left off. Spraying over a hypnotic melody, trap-infused sirens, and snappy brass, the seasoned spitter reflects on various topics including inner demons, grief, and run-ins with the law – with a characteristically healthy dose of wit and wordplay throughout.
