Another US & British grime link up by Gi Major & OH91 in 'ON IT'

Grime music has a surprisingly long history in NYC, where Gi Major is based, dating all the way back to the mid-2000s. Within the past couple of years she, along with the American Grime collective and her own EARTHTONE collective, have been pushing the genre even further stateside, with artists such as 3RDI, MC Jumanji, Motus and Wraz all having something they've dropped this year that is worth listening to.

This is not the first time Gi Major has linked up with Bristol-based producer OH91, a collaboration they've dubbed "OHGi", first getting in-touch back in 2017, after being introduced to him via fellow EARTHTONE member AIONS who had met OH91 two years prior in New York.

They spent a while talking to each other and exchanging music, before releasing their first official collaboration titled "Anyway" in January, alongside fellow US-based artist MC JumanjiAs a result of this track, Gi Major was invited to circuit a collection of British radio stations alongside the American Grime crew, including Rinse FM, Pyro Radio and Kiss FM, among others. During this period, the two linked up in Bristol and recorded "ON IT".

Gi Major carries the song with an enjoyable flow, where she spits about her desire to keep pushing forward and her strong work ethic, backed by OH91's instrumental "Odessa", check it out below!
