DeBe reps Northampton in Skepta-inspired video for "Nuffin Long"

Released last month, DeBe's debut project, The Life of Reilly, experiments with a wide range of genres and styles, with influences from garage and grime as well as RnB and classic hip-hop. Coming out of Northampton, the album art is a call out to his area, picturing him King Kong-style climbing the Express Lift Tower, a local landmark.

One of the grimier cuts, "Nuffin Long", is accompanied by a music video, directed by Isus Williams, that is reminiscent of Skepta and Jme's "That's Not Me" visuals. Featuring rough footage of him performing behind decks with shots from around the rapper's hometown in the background, the rapper rides a lively but threatening beat from Sammy Bryne, who previously produced fellow Northampton-er slowthai's "Jiggle". DeBe blends the instrumental with his swinging flow and vivid bars, taking on a slightly manic edge as he delivers the darkness with a smile on his face.
