Nasty Jack begins the year with eski-influenced "Lyta Zod"

In December 1999, Wiley would produce possibly the first grime instrumental ever made, titled "Eskimo". A few years later, the riddim saw an official release and Wiley would go on to coin the term "Eskibeat" for the new, icy production style. Seems apt that around 20 years later, one of the years first releases would be an eskibeat single, produced by W.A.V.E representative Shannon Parkes. Chopped up female vocals, Wiley's famous bloops/bagoo, a gritty bass, all make up for a refreshing take on the style.

The riddim is vocalled by West London MC Nasty Jack (formerly a member of N.A.S.T.Y Crew) who flutters the track with various references to people within the music scene, such as Lippy, OG Nikki, Rude Kid, Fekky, Dizzee Rascal, and others.

It is one of the best releases of the year so far, so be sure to check it out below!
